The Lighting Group, LLC is one of the largest independent lighting and lighting control sales agencies in the Western United States. We represent a diverse group of lighting, transportation, sports lighting and lighting controls manufacturers. We recognize that before and after sale, top-tier service and support is paramount to the positive outcome of projects and the success of our stakeholders.  We provide these services to manufacturers, the design community, developers, municipalities, utilities, school districts, state & local governments, contractors and distributors: sales & marketing, local and factory training, product selection assistance, product demonstration & mock-ups, quotations, design build/ design assist services and construction administration & project management.

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to join our team and spearhead our marketing efforts including web content, social media, events, training, and promotional merchandise. In addition, the position will manage the manufacturers. This includes performance metrics, visitation criteria, and shared relationships. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in marketing roles, but lighting knowledge is not a prerequisite. This position will report to the company president.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create compelling web content and copyright for The Lighting Group.
  • Manage social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram) to increase brand awareness and foster community engagement for TLG activities and industry events.
  • Plan and coordinate events including annual trade show, product launches, and customer training to showcase our manufacturers, capabilities, and team.
  • Design and implement training programs for internal staff and external partners to ensure a thorough understanding of lighting and lighting controls.
  • Manage the vendor performance data, visitation process and scheduling for our manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with functional teams including Sales, Quotations, Project Management, Customer Care to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
  • Analyze marketing metrics and trends to lead our marketing strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications.
  • 2 years of experience in marketing roles, with a focus on digital marketing and event management.
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry or related industries preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in web content management systems (e.g., WordPress, InDesign, Adobe), social media platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content and present ideas effectively.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills and following industry trends.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
